I went from merely trying to gather Friesian information to establishing a wonderful friendship!! Your unselfishness and honesty is extraordinary. You have shared so much of your time and knowledge of the Friesian breed with me that with out you, I NEVER would have thought about purchasing a mare in foal for breeding, never mind from the Netherlands ! Your honest, no strings attached enthusiasm and encouragement and guidance is what I needed to take the huge step to making a dream come true. I though my husband would never go for me giving a total stranger a large chunk of our hard earned money to wire off to the Netherlands for a horse sight unseen, it was a hard sell at first, that was until he knew the person you are. There are not many folks in the world today , at least they don't seem to cross my path very often with the enthusiasm, honesty, kindness and caring you have. You are amazing Joellyn,a true blessing that our paths have crossed and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity you have given to me!! I am the extremely proud owner of " Simply the best " Friesian mare ever !! I've met and dealt with many not so nice horse people in the past, selling me horses that proved to be everything but what I thought I was buying. I am by no means a horse expert, at least that was until you shared your knowledge with me!!.... I am a person who takes people for truth and honesty. To meet someone who is all that plus does not happen often in ones life.... I am so excited , along with my two daughters, as we anxiously await the birth of our first foal in mid April.
None of this would be happening if not for you!! At times, when Emery is working Saturdays and Sundays to pay for my beautiful Geke I'm sure he wishes our paths had not crossed.....LOL!!..... Honestly, my husband who is not a great horse lover other than his iron horse is falling for the gal. Geke will follow him around the yard like a puppy dog and he can now be heard saying " I like this mare!" whao who !! How can you not ? She is such a love !!
